Heal Your Digestive System: Heal Your Life

A healthy digestive system is essential to a healthy life. The saying “you are what you eat” is not true. You are what you absorb. Sixty percent of our body’s immune system lives in our digestive tract. Problems like inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, allergies, gluten intolerance, psoriasis and eczema, sinus conditions, acid reflux, allergies, and asthma are directly influenced by a compromised digestive system. This workshop will explore the basic strategies of healing our digestive and immune systems. Topics of discussion will include the use of digestive enzymes, healthy eating lifestyles, probiotics, essential fatty acids, and vitamin D as well as methods of testing for allergies and gluten intolerance. Come, learn, and explore.

Have you ever been told you have a great voice? From audio books and cartoons to documentaries, commercials, and more, this class will introduce you to the growing field of voice over. Today, the range of voices hired has grown dramatically from the days of announcers. Learn what the pros look for, how to prepare, and where to find work in your area! We’ll discuss industry pros and cons, and play samples from working voice professionals. In addition, you’ll have an opportunity to record a short professional script under the direction of our teacher. This class is lots of fun, realistic, and a great first step for anyone interested in the voice over field. In an effort to ensure a quality class experience, we must limit attendance. Kaleidoscopes!

Kaleidoscopes are optical devices, which transform the ordinary into the extraordinary.  They accomplish this by using reflections to create a dazzling display of beautiful color and symmetrical forms.  We will discuss and explore how they work, as we build our own “viewer of beautiful forms”.
