Reading Plus and More

Reading Plus® is a Web-based program designed to provide essential structure to silent reading skills in order to engage students in individualized reading experiences that will encourage the development of fluency in their silent reading.  The program assesses, develops, and strengthens foundational reading skills, targeting visual, perceptual, and cognitive functions.  Research has shown that the program is most effective when utilized in periods of 25 minutes or more, so roughly 50% of class time will be devoted to individual work on Reading Plus®.  The remainder of the class time will consist of individual/small group instruction and guidance in a variety of reading strategies to help improve fluency and comprehension.

This class is instructed by Saline Schools teacher Peggy McEvoy
