Children ages 5 to 17 and ranging in skill level from beginner to advanced are welcome to attend this camp. Abiltiy will be evaluated on the first day. You will learn all about horses including how to saddle, brush and groom the horse as well as how to clean its hoofs. You will also learn how to ride in a basic balance position and to have fun while being safe and educated at the same time. Participants will ride two times a day.
Extended Camp: Children can be dropped off as early as 6:00 am for a maximum of four hours of extra camp. Children will be kept busy with a variety of structured activities. The cost for extended camp is $12.00 per day. To register for extended camp you must register by phone.
General Camp Information: Participants should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions including shoes or boots with heels, a shirt with sleeves and stretch or stirrup type pants. Also, please bring a riding helmet if you have one; otherwise, a bike helmet will work. If desired, a change of clothing can be brought in for classroom time.
If you're an athlete, you don't want to miss out on this class! Students will see a noticeable improvement in their acceleration, total body agility, transitional movement, turning ability, and kinesthetic awareness. As well as improve their anaerobic conditioning. Please wear proper clothing and footwear and bring a water bottle.

Kids will make a bio-dome as part of exploration in GO GREEN! Ever wonder why we recycle or how planting a tree makes a difference to the air we breathe? Appreciate the outdoors through art projects made of objects found in nature, learn environmental stewardship, and improve understanding of natural science through this hands on camp.
Grades K - 5
Water covers most of the earth...what's up with the wet stuff? Kids will learn how water impacts our environment, what makes it so important to life and everything H2O in, Go With the Flow. Games, interactive learning, and getting their hands just a little wet will make science fun; water pressure, gravity, chemistry, and the environment will be covered in this unique learning experience.
Join One on One Sports Coaches a sports camp unlike any other! If you love sports and games, you will enjoy playing a variety of sports/games each day and learning how to play new ones! Sports will include: basketball, soccer, flag football, dodge ball, kickball, and more! Bring a water bottle, snack, and lunch. All players will have a chance to win daily prizes! *Grades and skill level will be separated into groups.
Grades K - 6
This class will provide High School athletes with exposure to the strength and conditioning program prior to the school year. Students will be given instruction on form, technique, and safety.
Entering grades 9-12
This Girls on the Run daycamp encourages pre-teen girls to embrace self-respect and healthy lifestyles. The goal of the camp is to increase girls' confidence and self-esteem by allowing them to express themselves through dance, arts & crafts, role playing, fitness activities, journaling, and games. Girls will learn leadership skills while gaining a better understanding of who they are and what they stand for.
Fee includes a t-shirt, water bottle, arts & crafts supplies, and healthy snacks.
Entering Grades 3 - 5 in the fall 2009
The purpose of the Community Education Junior Cheer Fall League is to provide students with an opportunity to learn and develop cheerleading skills. Cheer for the Junior Tackle Football League games in an organized setting, understand good sportsmanship and teamwork and most importantly to have FUN!
Who: Junior Cheer is open to anyone entering grades 3-6 in the fall and are in the Saline School district.
Practices: Beginning the week of August 24th, practices will be held two times per week (Mondays & Wednesdays) and will run from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Beginning the week of September 8th, practices will continue on Mondays and Wednesdays, but will run from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
Games: Cheering for games will be on Sunday afternoons and will begin September 27th and end November 8th.
The registration deadline is Thursday, July 23rd at 4:00 pm. Late registrations will be placed on a waitlist.
