Saline Community Education
School Year Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Summer Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 12pm, 1pm - 4pm
Registration Deadline The registration deadline is one week before class begins, unless otherwise noted. Most activities have a minimum and maximum limit to the number of participants allowed; therefore, any classes which do not meet the minimum enrollment requirement may be cancelled. Please register as early as possible, as registrations will be accepted on a first-pay, first-serve basis.
Transporting Children Please note the scheduled time of the activity so that children can be dropped off and picked up promptly. Supervision is not available beyond the scheduled times of the activity, making it inappropriate to drop off children early or to pick them up late.
Class Confirmation Once you have turned in your registration form and fee, plan to attend the activities as scheduled in the brochure. If you provide an email address on the registration form, you will receive confirmation via email.
Waitlist Policy Participants who register after a class has reached its maximum enrollment will be placed on a waitlist for the class. Do not attend the class unless we notify you.
Refund Policy Please let us know as soon as possible if you do not plan to participate in the class so that someone on the waitlist may be contacted. Full refunds are given when we cancel a class due to low enrollment or circumstances beyond our control. No refunds will be given after the conclusion of a class or program. If you cancel a class before the class begins: A $5 cancellation fee will be assessed to each class $50 and under and a 10% cancellation fee will be assessed for each class over $50 (per child) that is cancelled by the Parent/Guardian. If you cancel a class after the class has started, your refund will reflect a $5 cancellation fee and the refund will be prorated for classes held regardless of attendance. A $30 fee will be assessed to checks returned by the bank.
Saline Area Schools Student Assistance Policy Any student serving a suspension is not eligible to participate in any Community Education program until suspension is served.
Scholarship Program Families with financial need may qualify for scholarship funds to cover activity fees for programs offered by Community Education. Each applicant must present a copy of their free/reduced lunch form or a completed release form. SCE offers a 25% discount to those receiving reduced lunch and 50% for free lunch recipients. Scholarship forms must be updated annually.
Senior Citizens Seniors 60 and over may be eligible for a 50% discount on many activities contained in this program guide. Because classes must be financially self-supported through fees, seniors may be requested to pay up to the full rate under some circumstances.
Latchkey Students Students enrolled in the latchkey program may be eligible for a 50% discount on classes that coincide with the students latchkey schedule.
